Half-leather and marbled boards. Eight (8) volumes complete. All volumes except Vol. VI have marbled boards. Vol. VI is full leather with gilt tooling decoration around the edges of the front and rear. This volume also has marbled page edges and the others do not. All volumes have four raised bands on the spine with gilt titling. The gilt on all but Vol. II and VI has faded. Vol. VII and VIII have fold-out maps in the rear, but the map in Vol. VI is missing. Foxing to pages and heavy foxing to endpapers. All bindings appear solid. There are bumps to corners and spine ends, and normal scuffs and rubs to covers.
