Workshop Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Environments

Roughly 80 presentations represent workshops at the seventh International Conference on Intelligent Environments (held July 2006 in Nottingham, UK). The workshops addressed the following themes: artificial intelligence techniques for ambient intelligence; creative science--science fiction prototyping for engineering and product innovation; human-centric interfaces for ambient intelligence; the intelligent campus; the application of technology to advance art and enhance social engagement; smart offices and other workplaces; and intelligent environments supporting healthcare and well-being. Lectures as well as practical sessions are included. A sampling of specific topics: distributed rule reasoning in a context-aware system by means of semantic web, a layered architecture for situation aware home environments, music recommendation system based on human-to-human conversation recognition, a generic model of distrust behavior in online communities of trust, and similarity pattern mining in intelligent office environments.
