Too Much World

The world arrives, for you, at a volume other people don’t seem to hear.

The flickering lights. The layered noise no one else notices. The tag in your collar that pulls at you all day. And somewhere in aisle four of the supermarket, it becomes too much - your thoughts fray, the pressure builds, and every part of you needs to get out. Then you spend the rest of the day recovering from a trip to buy bread.

You are not too sensitive. Your AuDHD nervous system genuinely perceives more of the world - and holds it differently.

Too Much World is a warm, compassionate guide to the sensory life of the autistic-ADHD mind. The second book in The Calm AuDHD Mind series, it goes beneath the overwhelm to the system underneath - including monotropism, the deep “attention tunnel” that shapes how you focus and how you flood.

Inside, you’ll discover:

• Monotropism: why your attention tunnels deep, and why interruptions and busy rooms cost so much
• How sensory overwhelm really builds - and why it’s never an overreaction
• The AuDHD paradox of seeking and fleeing stimulation at once, and how to map your profile
• The hidden senses that let deep pressure and movement calm you
• Meltdown and shutdown, understood with compassion instead of shame
• Why stimming is regulation (and joy) - and how to build a gentler, and more beautiful, sensory world

Each chapter ends with Gentle Practices - small, kind experiments you can try when you have the capacity, and skip without guilt when you don’t.

Your sensitivity was never a defect. It floods you in loud places - and makes the world, in the right moments, more beautiful than most people ever know.

Meet the world on your own terms.
