Volume 2 covers countries from Oman to Zimbabwe, and a comprehensive index of institutions and organisations in both volumes. Included for each entry are their address, telephone number, e-mail and Internet addresses, date of foundation, learned journals published by the institution and, where relevant, membership, library holdings and a description of the institutions activities. For each institution there is a list of key academic staff and officials more than 200,000 in total. Professors at major universities are listed by name, together with subjects taught. A 100 page index covering every institution in the two volumes allows the user to access information quickly and effectively.
