Three volume set of 1822 books about Persia (Iran) with 29 of 30 hand-colored engravings. The books are petite and measure 3.5x5.5, bound in red leather and marbled paper. Heavy wear around the edges, spines darkened, Vol III front board is present but not attached. Some scattered foxing, engravings have stained facing pages, first few pages of Vol II loose in book, pen names inside front cover of all three, toned throughout. Twenty-nine of thirty engravings present, missing #30 Takhti-Cadjar. Frederick Schoberl was an English journalist, editor, translator, writer and illustrator. All orders packed with care, dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011. Seller Inventory # 09277
