The World View Of The Fourth Gospel: A Genetic Study (1918)

The World View of the Fourth Gospel: A Genetic Study is a book written by Thomas Wearing and originally published in 1918. The book explores the religious and philosophical beliefs that influenced the author of the Gospel of John, which is the fourth book of the New Testament. Wearing argues that the author of the Gospel of John had a unique worldview that was shaped by a combination of Jewish and Hellenistic ideas. He analyzes the language, style, and themes of the Gospel of John to support his argument, and he also draws on other ancient texts and historical context to provide a comprehensive understanding of the author's perspective. The book is intended for scholars and students of religion, theology, and history who are interested in understanding the origins and meaning of the Gospel of John. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
