About the Author

Mary Appelhof, prepared by master's degrees in biology and education, has spent the past 25 years working with earthworms to develop a system for using redworms to process organic waste.

Mary Frances Fenton Professor Emeritus, Western Michigan University spent over 30 years as a media specialist and graphics consultant.

Dr. Barbara Harris, Western Michigan University, trains teachers in the field of special education and has written children's activity books for both the gifted and for children with learning disabilities. She teaches graduate and undergraduate course in assessment and curriculum.
