A Worrying Present and an Uncertain Future. Challenges for Security in Central and Eastern Europe Region: 64 (Studies in Politics, Security and Society)

This book explores how contemporary societies respond to intensifying uncertainty, shifting power dynamics, and global transformations. In a world marked by war, technological acceleration, climate instability, and social fragmentation, the need to understand evolving threats has become increasingly urgent. The volume offers an interdisciplinary perspective on how crises – both visible and latent – are experienced, interpreted, and managed across different domains of public and private life. With a focus on the intersections of security, resilience, and social change, the book invites readers to reflect on the symbolic and material dimensions of disruption in the 21st century.
