Synopsis
Simply put, if you are married and you need Him to bring peace and reconciliation in your home, then this book is for you. If you are not married, and you want a husband (wife), need a husband (wife), or just gotta have a husband (wife) "right now!", then this book is for you. If God has given you a vision revealing how He wants to use you, and you are frustrated waiting for it to come to pass, then this book is for you. This is not a "how to wait" on God manual strictly for Christians, as I will share how God was at work in my life...well before I ever welcomed Christ into my heart. So for the one holding this book right now and does not know the Lord, but you have been in waiting for something or Someone meaningful to come into your life, this book is for you, too. In short, waiting comes in many forms; but regardless of the circumstance that revolves around your call to a holding pattern, this book was written especially for you.
About the Author
Yolanda Perry is the author of Worth the Wait, which was initially released in 2007. Prior to a God-ordained holding pattern, Yolanda served in all facets of ministry. She also led the women's ministry at Living His Word Evangelistic Ministries for five years and ministered monthly at the Washington State Corrections Center for Women for over ten years, where she led hundreds to salvation and witnessed many lives being transformed.
Yolanda served 11 years in the US Army. Upon being honorably discharged, she enrolled into college as a full time student. She has since earned an Associate's Degree in Arts & Sciences from Pierce College; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration/Accounting from University of Washington; and will earn her Master's Degree in Secondary Education in 2015 from Grand Canyon University. However, her motto is to "never truly graduate." So Yolanda is now enrolled in Champions Centre College and is studying to receive an Associate's Degree in Church Ministry & Leadership.
Since 2009, she has made serving in her local church, Champions Centre, a priority. Yolanda proudly serves as a leader at Celebrate Recovery at Champions Centre; as a member of the Pastoral Care Team; as a leader at Pre-Service Prayer; and does anything else her hands find to do in the House of God.
As a speaker and writer, Yolanda's personal mission is to communicate and demonstrate unshakable faith. Yolanda currently shares inspirational affirmations and devotions online. She is preparing to release her blog in January 2015. Also in 2015, Yolanda plans to release her second book, the sequel to Worth the Wait. Title will be released soon...
Raising her three amazing children is definitely among her greatest accomplishments: A son, Darius JaVar and two daughters, Kadazia KeSahn & Kyra Elise Perry. And God saw fit to give her an added blessing, her grandson, JaVar Adrian Perry.
