Synopsis
Wounded Eagle is a story about what could happen to the United States when attacked by terrorist forces bent on total destruction of the American way of life. Although seriously wounded, America is slowly attempting to recover while continuing to combat terrorists and other unknown forces. Boston, Dallas, Denver, and several other major cities have suffered devastating losses. Nuclear warheads had been detonated in Boston and Denver resulting in the murder of many members of Congress, including the Speaker of the House, National Security Adviser, and countless others. President Mitchell is still recovering from his kidnapping and the death of his wife. While operating with limited staff and congressional support, he is doing his best to save his country, the United States, from total destruction. American blood has been spilled and the country wants revenge. Meanwhile, Davin Pierce and Josh Randal, two near-retiring CIA field operatives, are called in to assist in the recovery of a stolen, highly classified, portable hard drive containing information that could start World War III if the encryption was broken. With the assistance of some high tech equipment and trained agents from multiple organizations, Davin Pierce and Josh Randal dive head first into the search only to discover it went deeper than expected. Life in the slow lane of running covert operations from behind a desk has just changed lanes and gone ballistic.
About the Author
My story started way back in the tenth grade when Isubmitted a short story to my English teacher and she did not like the storyand gave me a low grade. Upon confronting her she said everything was fine withgrammar, syntax, and structure but she did not like the content of the story soshe gave me a low grade. At that point I had a desire to write but life tendedto get in the way, joining the military then working in corporations delayed mein my ultimate goal of writing the great novel. Little did I know at the time, all that military and corporate work was just building on my knowledge base togive me the baseline to create some realistic believable stories.
Over my years in the military I learned aboutmilitary equipment, aircraft, also became a pilot myself, a licensed scubainstructor, learned how to sail and handle various power boats and sailboatsand travelled to many points around the world. Travelling was very importantbecause it gave me the chance to learn about different cultures and the peopleof the country I was visiting.
My years of experience with the military, travel, corporate work and research allows me to write novels built around things Ihave done and places I have been. Life has provided me with the resources towrite books that are believable and based on history of our world. I draw onall my experiences to provide you with a story that has some roots in historyand using artistic license I have warped this history into stories that you canget a grip on and enjoy.
Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoyreading my stories.
