After years and years of trying to “do life” on his own terms and experiencing personal successes as well as setbacks, tragedies, and unthinkable losses; astronomical highs and extreme lows, Justin finally decided that he would listen to the call that he had heard when he was a kid. He began to go after God in a way that he never had before. This undying thirst to identify the reason for which he was created led him to the realization that in trying to find his purpose, he was helping others find theirs. His nickname “The Elevator”, came from his unique ability to inspire and uplift those around him; to be able to show people infinite possibilities attached to their lives that they could not see before. He quickly realized that it was within his God-given abilities to help others identify their reason for existence. His life is centered around this purpose. Wrapped In Skin, is a culmination of experiences and revelations. It is a journey of self-discovery that has led the author and hopefully will lead you down the path of knowing who you really are at your core and what your relationship is to the world and to the people around you. Justin Jamar has been seen on television shows including “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne”, “BET’s The Game”, and multiple national commercials. Justin is the founder of The Elevation Project, a purpose-based wellness initiative that allows people to discover wellness from the inside out and helps to place them on a path to self-discovery and purpose.
