About the Author
Eric E Wright has led a rich life with time spent in both Asia and Ontario. He grew up in the west-end of Toronto, studied forestry at the University of Toronto then transferred to Columbia International University in South Carolina to receive training in overseas ministry. There he met and married Mary Helen, a nurse from SC.
Together they served in Pakistan for 16 years where Eric was the co-founder of the Open Theological Seminary, which now serves over 6000 students in centers throughout the country. Before venturing into writing for a western audience, Eric had already honed his skills by writing 5 self-teaching textbooks for OTS, this wildly successful extension training program.
Upon their return to Canada, he pastored a church in Toronto for nine years until the passion to write became too strong to deny. From 1991 to the present, he has written and published thirteen books and served as interim pastor in a number of churches. Based on his ministry experience in these churches he published, Revolutionary Forgiveness.
In February of 2022, after 61 years of marriage, God called Mary Helen home to heaven. His book, A Man's Journey Through Grief, describes both the depths of his grief and the hope he found in his Christian faith.
In September of 2023, after meeting through providential—even miraculous—circumstances, he married Phyliss Hammerstrom. They live in Port Hope, Ontario where Eric continues to write.
