About the Author

Helena Halme grew up in Finland and moved to the UK in her twenties. A trilingual, she's a former BBC translator, journalist, magazine editor, and bookseller. Since gaining an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, Helena has published ten fiction and two nonfiction titles.

Helena believes that there are many benefits to writing in another language, which is why authors such as Vladimir Nabokov, Joseph Conrad, Elif Shafak, Karen Blixen, and many more have decided to write in another language.

During her fifteen-year career as a writer, Helena's language choice is something she's been asked a lot about, so she decided to note down her tips on how to write using a second or third language. The result is 'Write in Another Language: 10 Easy Steps'.
