The collection includes both classic and contemporary writers-such as Maya Angelou, W.H. Auden, Ralph Ellison, Louise Erdrich, Robert Frost, Langston Hughes, Tillie Olsen, Brent Staples, Henry David Thoreau, Mark Twain, Alice Walker, and many others.
