Writing After Life: Stories from Those Who Served a Life Sentence

Four former gang members, four life sentences, and four opportunities to start a new life. Less than eighteen months after their release from decades in California prisons, these four men write about their past, present, and goals for the future. Through sharing their first-hand experiences, they offer insight into the root causes of gang involvement and criminality, the process of personal transformation in prison, and the challenges and rewards of receiving a second chance at life.
