All contributors to this volume are, or were, inmates of His Majesty's Prison and the Belle Isle Correctional Facility in St Vincent, a place where, as Tim Daisy wrote: "The damp and brutal cold and moldy cell walls connive... and wheezing chests steers panic into the unsuspecting clutches that forms part of society's rif raf (sic). The great forgotten. The condemned." The genres are many: drama, love, rebellion, disappointment, loss.
