This is the story of the Earnshaws and the Lintons, two upper class English families and turmoil surrounding the Earnshaw's adopted son, Heathcliff. This work originally published under the author's Ellis Bell pseudonym, with an introduction by Royal A. Gettman, and a biographical notice & an editor's preface by Charlotte Brontė, writing under her Currer Bell pseudonym. Includes woodcut illustrations at chapter heads by Fritz Eichenberg. Note: A loosened front hinge has been repaired on this item.
