Light brown boards with titles in black on orange background and silhouette of horse and rider over orange semi-circle, b&w pictorial epps, 154pp including glossary and exercises to rear, b&w illustrations throughout. The cover is grubby and the edges tanned, corners slightly bumped, however with the exception of the occasional spot the pages inside are clean and bright.
