First printed in More's translation of 'The Life of Jhon Picus' (1510).In the original cloth boards.This ballade, or poem, by Sir Thomas More, expresses Italian nobleman and philosopher Pico della Mirandola's 'Twelve Properties or Conditions of a Lover'.More was an English lawyer, social philosopher and noted Renaissance humanist, noted for writing the socio-political satire 'Utopia'. In the original cloth boards. Externally, very smart, with slight darkening to the cloth and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. With offsetting to the endpapers, otherwise pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
