At E-Doc, he built SGML-based solutions for publishers such as John Wiley & Sons and Macmillan Press to put journals such as Cancer and Nature online. He has spoken at Seybold, Xtech, and other events, and has been active on the Advisory Committee of the W3C and in the Open Group's Mobile Management Forum. In addition, he has served as an advisory member of the ICE protocol group and is on the Advisory Board of Kinecta Corporation.
