Denim cloth over boards with gilt-debossed titling to spine and front board. Pages have chip to lower edge of pages 17-20, chips to pages 245-252, closed tear to fore edge of page 177. Light scattered soiling to very edge of a few pages throughout. Endpages have soiling particularly to inner hinges and stamps to front pastedown. Text block is sunned particularly to top edge, foxing to top edge and light foxing to lower edge, and fore edge is deckled. Boards have sunning to edges and along spine, white scuff marking to top edge of front board and top edge and fore edge of rear board, moderate bumping to corners of rear board and light bumping to corners of front board and ends of spine. Binding is tight and square. Dust jacket has soiling and heavy scuffing to rear cover, tearing and creasing to lower rear corner, closed tears, moderate chipping, and heavy rubbing and creasing to edges, corners and ends of spine; two tears along rear flap fold starting at top edge and lower edge. Scuffing to front cover. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket. …
