General athletics instructional book by Bob Tisdall, who won a gold medal for Ireland in the 400m Hurdles at the 1932 Olympic Games. 8vo. 160pp. Contained within the original dust-wrapper, which is heavily rubbed with a few small chips. The wrapper is a little fragile (with some taped repairs) and seems to have been damp at some time, but is still a very nice addition. Interestingly, there is a second dust-wrapper (front cover and spine) laid down neatly to front endpapers. From the collection of F.A.M. Webster, the influential athletics coach and author, with his bookplate to reverse of title-page. A good copy.
