About the Author: Aaron Samuels is a native of Edgewood, Rhode Island, and a Cave Canem Fellow.  His work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and appeared in The Tidal Basin Review, Used Furniture Review, Muzzle Magazine, and Thrush Poetry Journal, among others.  Aaron was featured on the debut episode of TV One's Verses & Flow, and his work has been featured at TEDx Washington University, HBO's Brave New Voices, and the Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival.  He is the founder of Washington University Poetry Slam, known throughout St. Louis for its literacy development work at local high schools, juvenile detention centers, and community organizations.  Yarmulkes & Fitted Caps is Aaron's first full length poetry collection.
