Yarn Quest 2: The Great River Rescue

Long ago (or maybe it was yesterday?), after the Nothing but before our world’s beginning, the Story Realm was already ancient. A small and wonderful universe, where the Great River flows deep and powerful, feeding every part of their world . . . But at the time of this story, something was very wrong with the River.

P has always had a special connection to water. Their first step as a baby was towards a river. Nearly 12, rivers are P’s safe place where almost everything makes sense. Now the Great River is sick, and she desperately needs P’s help.

But how can a regular kid save a whole river, let alone an entire magical Realm?

And what kind of a greedy world destroys its own environment and poisons its waters . . . oh, wait.

In the second instalment of the magical adventure series for beginner readers, P is going to have to be the bravest they’ve ever been. Join P, Sibyl and Tane as they cross the bridge into the Story Realm, and into the wildest adventure of their lives!

Brooke Scobie is a queer, auDHD, First Nations mom, author and poet that lives on Darkinjung land. Ever since she was very little, Brooke has loved books and stories. Which, of course, makes sense since she grew up with a mom whose favorite thing was her overflowing bookcase and reading before bed.
