Each chapter in this full-color, large-format art book displays a different sketchbook in its entirety: travel journals, urban sketches, personal diary comics, people observed in coffee shops, experiments and hard-to-define explorations, all filled within a year. The chapters are tied together with a distinctly personal narrative that takes you into the head of an illustrator as he records both the momentous events and the daily relatable minutia that makes up a well-observed life.
The attention to detail extends to the book itself: a thick cover with soft-touch laminate and sturdy pages makes this a book you will refer to over and over with different discoveries with each reading.
