50 Years of Cats and Dogs: Pets We Loved and Cared for

Peppy was a maverick Border collie when she first appeared at William Horne's door. Still, it was not long before she stole his heart with her intelligence, feisty attitude, and loyalty. Although her life ended tragically and way too soon, she still holds an important place in his heart to this day.
In a narrative that lovingly details all his adopted pets, Horne reveals the unique personalities and characteristics of the dogs and cats who found a place in his family. Cinnamon, who had a gift of seeing colors and doing tricks, was sensitive to those with physical impairments. Lucky, a little mixed breed, loved riding in the car from Florida to a mountain cabin in Tennessee. Sassy, a very curious calico cat, perched atop the sofa to watch the squirrels and rabbits play. Fritz, a rag tag black kitty, proudly captured sparrows in his mouth, only to release them into freedom moments later.
Fifty Years of Cats and Dogs is a poignant tribute to one family's adopted pets who brought joy and happiness into their three-ring circus called life.
