A book aimed at visitors to the 'watering-places of the coast from every part of the kingdom' as well at locals - to remind them of the 'interest of the localities.' Twenty b/w illustrations including the frontispiece and two maps (NE and SE coasts of Yorkshire) at the end of the book. Bottle green cloth boards with elegant gilt (gold) titles on the upper board and along the spine. Lemon yellow endpapers. Condition (external): the boards are in a sound state other than a little bending and fraying in places such as at the book's corners and at the head and tail of the spine. Inside the book there is mild to moderate tanning with occasional spotting throughout; being more pronounced on the preliminary and final pages. Note also on the front pastedown (owner's sticker) and endpaper (ink dedication, dated Aug, 13th 1892) - see image. Occasional but repetitive paragraph and sentence marking/underlining. pp. vii, 334 - followed by the maps and publisher's book list.
