Tommy's Tasty Treats - Page 32-34
Tommy loved making treats for his family and friends. His brownies were a huge hit at every family gathering. One day, his mom suggested, "Tommy, why don't you start a brownie business? People would love your treats!"
Excited by the idea, Tommy decided to give it a try. He knew he needed a plan, so he sat down with a notebook to create his business plan. First, he thought of a catchy name: "Tommy's Tasty Treats." He even designed a simple logo featuring a smiling brownie.
Next, Tommy set his goals. He wanted to sell 50 boxes of brownies in his first three months and have 20 regular customers by the end of the year. He also planned to introduce new flavors every few months.
Tommy then listed the products he would offer. His main product would be his classic chocolate brownies, but he also wanted to try making peanut butter brownies and gluten-free brownies for those with dietary restrictions.
To identify his target market, Tommy thought about who would buy his brownies. He realized that his friends, their parents, and neighbors would be interested. He also planned to sell at local events and school fairs.
Setting the prices was tricky, but Tommy researched what other bakers charged. He decided to price his brownies at 2 dollars each or 10 dollars for a box of six, making sure his prices covered his costs and gave him a profit.
With his plan in place, Tommy felt ready. He started by baking a batch of brownies and selling them at a local fair. To his delight, they sold out quickly. Tommy's careful planning paid off, and "Tommy's Tasty Treats" was a sweet success from the start.
