Jim Spencer grew up in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and has been hunting ducks since age 12. He is a forester, wildlife biologist, and naturalist, and he is an experienced and accomplished hunter, fisherman, and trapper. His award-winning articles and newspaper columns have been published in more than 150 magazines and 85 newspapers. He lives in the Ozarks of eastern Arkansas. Duck Hunting Basics is his third book.
