A Young Persons Guide to Dressage

Dressage is now the fastest growing equestrian sport, especially among the young. These riders are not only discovering the challenge of the sport, but also that the riding and training principles of dressage can help them become more successful in all other equestrian activities. Despite all the youthful interest, however, books on dressage are rarely directed at the young; generally, they are much too complicated and technical. Jane Kidd--international dressage rider, judge, trainer, and journalist--understands this very well. In writing A Young Person's Guide to Dressage, she has looked at the topic from the viewpoint of her many pupils--the novices, the newcomers to dressage, as well as more experienced competitors. The result is an ideal guide not only for the young rider, but for all who retain a youthful, exuberant approach.
