[Early Maryland Ownership] Bound in contemporary leather. Minor rubbing to cover. 593 pages. Old dampstaining. Provenance: Early signatures, figures, and notes of Samuel B. Hardcastle (1798-1831). Early genealogical inscriptions. Includes a manuscript inscription about the marriage of Samuel to Ann Rochester Coppage (1810-1866), and the birth of their daughter, Sarah Christine Hardcastle in 1829 (1829–1918, Sarah married Dr. Elias H. Peirce). The Hardcastles lived in Queen Anne's County, Maryland.
