ZERO, MY LORD: An Algorithm for the Human Soul

What if the Angel of Death didn’t ask for your soul, but for your source code?

Amsterdam, 3:20 AM. In the eerie, pandemic-induced stillness of a world on pause, Babu Rao Nastik—a Dalit professor of computer science living in self-imposed exile—encounters two intruders. They aren’t burglars; they identify themselves as Alpha and Omega, modern-day executioners of fate. Their mission? His final deletion.

But Babu Rao is a man who has long rejected deities for the cold, unyielding logic of mathematics. Facing the ultimate void, he offers them a variable they didn’t expect: "Zero."

To delay his end, he pulls the angels into a high-stakes metaphysical debate, unraveling the "source code" of a life shaped by the brutal caste politics of India, the tragic radicalization of a Somali refugee, and the silent departure of a Pakistani atheist at thirty thousand feet.

Zero, My Lord is a gripping investigation into the human condition, where the algorithms of existence are tested against the silence of eternity.

A profound journey through memory, exile, and the mathematics of destiny.
