ResEdit is a wonderful Macintosh program that gives you complete control over the appearance of your computer desktop. Bored with your trash can? Can't stand the text in a dialog box? Need a different keyboard? ResEdit's for you. But of all the thousands of Macintosh programs to have ever appeared, ResEdit has suffered the most from bad press and scurrilous slander. No other program has ever been accused of destroying so many hard disks or fouling operating systems as ResEdit. This book will definitely change your opinion about ResEdit. Schneider and his colleagues take you on a wondrous adventure in 16 chapters, easing your fears and turning you into a real ResEdit weenie, requiring only a little patience and time. This book's diskette contains not only ResEdit (version 2.1.1) but also sample resources, three editors, and a few other nifty applications. It's no wonder that this book has been widely popular among brave Mac users. --Edward J. Valauskas is a private library automation consultant in Chicago
