In good condition. Minor wear to spine and boards. Some light staining on cloth, but otherwise in good condition. Photograph of John Gresham Machen (more information below) on front paste down. Mild age-toning. Some occasional rippling. Map folds out with ease, has small tear, but does not effect mechanism. Photograph of the Matterhorn on back paste down. Neat! Please see photos. Zermatt in it s Valley - book of mountaineering. John Gresham Machen, the man in the photograph of our book, was an American Presbyterian New Testament scholar and educator in the early 20th century. He was the Professor of New Testament at Princeton Seminary and led a conservative revolt against modernist theology at Princeton and formed Westminster Theological Seminary as a more orthodox alternative.
