Item description from seller

8vo; pictorial boards somewhat rubbed, and worn at extremities; endpaper plans; pp. viii + 120, incl. index; black-and-white photographic plates; scattered mild foxing. Good condition. "It has been my very good fortune to have lived in Rhodesia and to have known either personally or by first-hand report, everybody who has ever worked at Zimbabwe except Mauch and Bent. Long talks and delightful correspondence have been distilled and used to comprehend and to explain points of view which are no longer fashionable or even sound." An interesting feature of this book is the appendix providing a list of persons known to have worked at Zimbabwe, from the time of Mauch to that of the author.
