Zombie Apocalypse The Origin

The dead don’t stay dead. And everyone is already infected.

In Washington, D.C., Dr. Grace Waters calls time of death on a young patient. Minutes later, he opens his eyes and tears out her intern’s throat. Then the intern gets up, too.

Within days, hospitals are overrun, cities are falling, and the government is lying to keep the public calm while its leaders save themselves.

It began in Tel Aviv with a 105-year-old scientist. Dr. David Kohlberg built an airborne super virus to protect humanity from a deadly disease. A traitor in his own lab turned it into the Z-Factor virus and sent it around the globe. Now every person on Earth carries it, and everyone who dies will rise.

Colonel Jack “Ghost” Crown, M.D., a legendary Army sniper, and virologist Dr. Benjamin Lieber fight their way out of the capital to a secret fortified compound in Virginia. There they search for anyone, anywhere, who has survived a bite. They find no one.

Three hundred miles away, chemistry teacher and football coach Mark Landi keeps 167 survivors alive behind a high school fence, training teenagers to fight the dead. Then he is bitten. He doesn’t turn. He may be humanity’s best hope for a cure, if he can survive the road to Virginia, where the living can be worse than the dead.

With cinematic action, deeply human characters, and a chillingly plausible scientific basis, Michael K. Clancy reimagines the zombie genre for a new generation.

Who will survive? What will be left of their humanity? And can anyone turn back the tide of the undead before it’s too late?
