Add to basket"Summer"; two farmers with scythes, harvesting grain in a fied. Etching and drypoint with plate tone, on wove paper, mounted on board. Sheet size 731 x 558 mm., platemark 545 x 381 mm. Etched by Leon Senf, and printed by Roeloffzen-Hüber en van Santen, Amsterdam, ca. 1870-1940. Leon Senf (Delft 1860-1940 Alkmaar) was a Dutch painter, lithgrapher, echer, designer and ceramist. As a ceramist he was employed by De Porceleyne Fles (Delft) where he would rise to the position of Chef d'Atelier. In other artistic fields he was autodidact. In fair condition, all margins stained (probably from the glue attaching the sheet to the carrier board). One stain in the image area, top right. Some small surface damages in the image area. An impressive atmospheric print, in sadly not such a great condition.
