About this Item

Undated -- our given publication date is merely a guess (although one item does bear a 1973 date). A collection of six advertisements & catalogs for an array of psychotherapy/behavior modification products available from Farrall Instruments: a 4" x 9" folder listing various "stimulus slides," two different 8.5" x 11" one-sheets for the "Personal Shocker," an 8.5" x 11" 4-page flyer for the "Visually Keyed Conditioner (an automated slide projector)", an 8.5" x 11" 4-page flyer explaining the Automatic Systematic Desensitization system, and an 18-page catalog of devices to assist in treating various phobias, obsessions, tics, and compulsions (which mainly involve electroshock gadgets). I suppose, looking at these items 50 years down the line, many of these ideas are now viewed as quackery and cruelty. Scarce. Inquiries welcome. Size: 8.5'' x 11".
