Lo abbiamo visto immortalato nelle pagine pi� importanti della nostra storia, dai fronti militari della Prima guerra mondiale alla tragedia della campagna di Russia; abbiamo visto gli alpini servire il nostro Paese nelle missioni internazionali, dal Koso. AfghAfghanistan; abbiamo visto le penne nere al lavoro nei giorni drammatici delle emergenze e delle catastrofi naturali. Ed � a un alpino, Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, che ci siamo affidati in tempi pi� recenti, quando la pandemia da Covid-19 ha sconvolto le nostre vite e la campagna vaccinale aveva bisogno di una guida sicura. Questo libro ripercorre i momenti decisivi di 150 anni di storia, partendo dalla fondazione del Corpo, avvenuta a Napoli nel 1872, per arrivare ai giorni nostri. Eppure non � e non vuole essere una �storia degli alpini�, ma un album di famiglia degli uomini e delle donne che hanno indossato e indossano quel cappello, che ne hanno fatto un simbolo di identit� e di appartena.
