CONDITION: Single page Map that has a full double page folded map and single page map on the back. . As Scanned. antique map of Europe, published by Geo. F. Cram, dates from the late 19th century . Countries such as the German Empire, Austro-Hungary, and the Russian Empire are prominently shown, along with their respective borders, which have since been altered or dissolved. The map uses a pastel color scheme to distinguish national boundaries, with detailed labeling of cities, rivers, and mountain ranges. Hand-colored lithography and precise typography are characteristic of cartographic work from this period. Longitude is marked both from Greenwich and Washington, a common feature in American maps.
