About this Item
We offer a lithographic print of Edward Black Prince by Milo Winter made for the Denoyer-Geppert Company. The print is mounted to its original thick pasteboard that measures 32 x 24 and housed in a period frame with the outside dimensions 29 x 37 . It is signed in the print "Milo Winter" at the lower right. The remnants of a label for the Denoyer-Geppert Company are retained on verso. Edward Black Prince was part of a group of historical portraits made by Milo Winter for the Denoyer-Geppert Company. The company was based in Chicago and produced educational aids like maps, charts and models with a distinctly artistic appeal, thus their materials remain quite collectible. Milo Winter (1888-1956) was a popular American illustrator. He created editions of Aesop's Fables, Arabian Nights, Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol, Gulliver's Travels, Tanglewood Tales (1913), and others. Condition: The print shows some moderate surface wear, overall in good, untouched condition. Seller Inventory # PR00367
