This plate shows several medicinal (medical) and feeding plants: Birch, Fir or pine, Sisymbrium officinale or Hedge mustard, , Menyanthes, Lichen d'Islande, Pimpinella, Blackberry, Beech. Colour chromo-lithograph on a vellin type paper. Description: This original old antique medical anatomy print / plate originates from: 'La Medication Naturelle .', by F.E. Bilz, published c. 1892.Artists and Engravers: The author of this work is Friedrich Eduard Bilz (1842-1922) was a German naturopath who was a native of Arnsdorf. As a merchant of a Kolonialwarenladen (shop offering non-European goods) in Meerane, Bilz became interested in naturopathic medicine. In 1888 he published Das Neue Naturheilverfahren (The New Natural Healing) which became very popular and was translated into twelve languages. Condition: Fine.
