Watermark: A printdrawing is a work of art made to simulate a drawing, using a combination of graphical techniques including roulette, mezzotint, crayon / stipple engraving, etching and aquatint etching. Description: Source unknown, to be determined. State: Only state. Ref: Van Huffel 144. With the authorisation of the publisher C. S. Roos verso, before the Josi mark.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Cornelis Brouwer' after 'Jacob van Ruysdael'. Cornelis Brouwer (+1803) worked together with Ploos van Amstel. He published several printdrawings himself. Jacob van Ruysdael (ca. 1629 - 1682) was a Dutch Golden Age landscape painter, and is considered the most famous of four Haarlem family members who created landscape paintings. Condition: Very good, given age. No margins, as published. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
