All are dressed in Oriental clothes. A town in the background. These prints are made with an unusual process, the mezzotint in dark brown ink is printed over an ochre tinted ground. While sacrificing graphic sharpness, this process created a subtle and delicate tone and charm.Artists and Engravers: Made by Christian Rogendas after Georg Philipp Rugendas. Christian Rugendas (1708-1781) was a German painter and engraver.Condition: Very good, given age. Foxing in the margins. A dampstain in the top right corner, not enarly affecting image. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
