Antique print, titled: 'A) The Weesel. Mustela. B) The Stoat. Ermineum.', Weasel and Stoat, two mammals (Mustela nivalis & Mustela erminea). Handcoloured etching/engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. Description: From an unknown large size work on animals.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after Johann Jakob Haid. Johann Jakob Haid (1704-1767) was a German engraver who worked in Augsburg. His mezzotint engravings are well known - like his entire family is known for their mezzotint portraits. Condition: Excellent, given age, with wide margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
