Description: This original old antique print / plate originates from: 'European Ferns.', by James Britten, published by Cassell, Petter, Galpin & Co. in 1879.Artists and Engravers: Author: James Britten (1846-1924) was an English botanist. He was associated with the Department of Botany, British Museum and he was the editor of the Journal of Botany for 45 years. The lithographer of the plates is Vincent Brooks Day & Son after D. Blair. Condition: Excellent. General age related toning and occasional light staining from handling as visible on image. Storage location: C25-09 The overall size is ca. 8.1 x 10.6 inch.
