Antique print, untitled. A shepherd and a shepherdess in a landscape. From an edition of J. H. Krul's "Pampiere Wereld", probably the 1644 edition. Etching & engraving on Laid paper. Made by 'Salomon Savery' after own design. Salomon Savery (1594-ca. 1665) was a Dutch artist, nephew of Roelant Savery. He was one of the most prolific printmakers associated with book illustration in 17th century Netherlands. Good, given age. Small margins, some staining. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 15.8 x 11.8 cm. The image size is ca. 13.5 x 11.5 cm.
