Antique print, titled: 'Herinnering en Voorwaarts.' - ('Rememberance and Forwards'). A figure in a contemplative pose to the left, with a second figure in active pose near a boat in the foreground. Etching on laid paper. Watermark: Van Gelder Zonen. Description: Source unknown, to be determined. With two handwritten (gallery?) labels on the rear. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Etie van Rees' after own design. Ecoline Adrienne ('Etie') van Rees (1890-1973) was a Dutch sculptor, graphic artist, painter, and ceramic artist. She was born in Buitenzorg (Dutch East India), and was a student of Bernard Schregel for 8 months in The Hague. Condition: Excellent, given age. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: TPC-P4-15 The overall size is ca. 17.9 x 18.7 inch.
