Plate XXXII: This plate shows bird species; 114. Dominican Cardinal - 115. Pine Grosbeak - 116. Java Sparrow - 117. Greenfinch. Etching and engraving on a vellin type paper. Original hand colouring. Description: This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from: 'Unterhaltungen aus der Naturgeschichte; Der Vogel' by Gottlied Tobias Wilhelm published in Vienna 1810 - 1821. The fine engraved plates are by Paul Martin Wilhelm, the brother of the author and others. Artists and Engravers: Gottlied Tobias Wilhelm (1758 - 1822) was a Bavarian clergyman and naturalist in Augsburg. Condition: Good. General age-related toning. Irregular edge left margin from binding with occasional very small tears not affecting image. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: C190-17 The overall size is ca. 4.3 x 7.1 inch. The image size is ca. 3.3 x 5.7 inch. The overall size is ca. 11 x 18 cm. The image size is ca. 8.5 x 14.5 cm.
