Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. Description: "The continuation of Mr. Rapin's History of England, from the revolution to the present times" by Nicolas Tindal, London: 1759-63. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Emanuel Bowen' after an anonymous artist. Emanuel Bowen (1694-1767) was an English cartographer and map engraver. Condition: Very good, given age. Original folds, as issued. Two tiny holes in the middle of the image. Top margin remargined using contemporary paper backed with acid free archival tape. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: B16-41 The overall size is ca. 17.3 x 14.5 inch.
